‘Naked’ is the main single from BAYNK’s upcoming debut album, ADOLECENCE. It’s a groovy electronic cut that shows off everything special about the London-based, New Zealand-born artist. His falsetto vocals are accompanied on the other end of the frequency spectrum by deep, groovy basslines that show how effective minimalist textures can be. “I was concerned that I didn’t have enough heartbreak or trauma to make decent art,” he says of the spark behind his album. “If I don’t feel like I have any emotions to pull from now, then why don’t I just write about my childhood and adolescence?”. He has impressed with three EPs and shows at Coachella and Lollapalooza; now he’ll be impressing with his eleven-track debut album. -Dan Peeke
